Our men's and women's groups meet regularly for Bible study and fellowship. Women on Mission meet monthly on the 1st Sunday and the Men's Brotherhood meet for breakfast monthly on the last Sunday. Senior Adult ministry at Sardis has frequent events and outings you will find on our Events page. Kids & Youth meet Sundays & Wednesdays. The "I Care" ministry, Crochet/Craft Class, Missions Team & Sports ministry, plus a multitude of committees and teams, YOU can share the message of Jesus.
Women on Missions
Our mission is to inform & inspire the contemporary Baptist woman to influence her world for Christ. We learn about our Southern Baptist missionaries, pray for others & conduct many outreach projects. We are just the place for YOU to serve God.
SBC Kids/Youth Ministry
Our children's programs offer many ways to learn about Jesus. From Vacation Bible School in early summer to Fall Festival to Easter Sunday, our line- up of seasonal programs keeps everyone busy. Our Puppet Ministry performs at many church and community functions. The opportunities abound to share the message of Christ. SBC Kids meet Wednesdays & Sundays, more often for Christmas Play Practice and other major events. See us on Facebook here.
Men's Ministry
The men at Sardis participate in many ministries. The Brotherhood's mission is to equip men to seek God first, to empower men to impact their workplace communities, & more importantly their families, for the Kingdom of God. They oversee a roving ramp for members and neighbors who have experienced an injury, support safety by donating and installing smoke detectors for those in need, enjoy a fishing group that goes on trips throughout the year, & let's not forget softball!! The Brotherhood meets for breakfast monthly on the last Sunday of the month. Our Deacon board is always available and interested in YOUR feedback.
Sardis Outdoors/Fishing Fellowship Ministry
This is a fairly new ministry at Sardis and is evolving as excitement mounts! The team enjoys fishing trips (to anywhere!) the most but is always ready for anything outside! The details of our latest adventure can be found on the events page.
Hester Home Ministry
Every Monday evening at 7 PM we minister to the residents with Bible study and music. We also host special events throughout the year with summer barbeques and holiday celebrations. If YOU truly want to feel the blessings of Christ, this is the place!
Fidget Lap Quilts & Walker Totes
This ministry was begun by Phyllis Toole & Brenda Mitchell to bless alzheimers & dementia patients at Johston Health Hospital. Between them & other seamstress' & lovers of missions there have been over 187 quilts created and gifted. As much of her materials are donated, Phyllis always has many stories about where and how the materials found their into one of the quilts.
